My Chemical Romance - Na Na Na Video
"Na Na Na" Video Review
After all the build up and all the hype and all the talk, My Chemical Romance releases the new single called "Na Na Na" from their forthcoming album, "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys", which is in stores on November 22nd.
It's fast paced, driving and very loud; mosh pit ready and full of aggression that will definitely get you jumping up and down wherever you're standing. It also features a spoken-word breakdown and a wailing guitar solo.
Way said, "That's the moment where we said, 'This song changes everything. We're starting over right now. We're starting it over with [producer Rob] Cavallo, and we're doing it now'."
"Everything up to that point had felt like we had been in this kind of stasis, and as artists, stasis really equals death. So, it was so bad, the vibe wasn't good, and then 'Na Na Na' happened. And then, all of a sudden, there was this real, big intensity underneath us, and it was the momentum we needed to dig deep and record another album."
The music video is co-directed by Roboshobo and MCR frontman Gerard Way. Following the duel, all MCR members are seen lying motionlessly on the ground and the villains are seen taking the kid hostage. Just when things are looking grim, Way who portrays a character named Party Poison opens his eyes near the end of the video.
