"Remember Me" was the planned first single off the re-release of T.I.'s double platinum album, "Paper Trail"; however, the re-release was eventually shelved, although the song will still be released digitally.
The song features Mary J. Blige and it's main message is rememberance. The lyrics are about T.I.'s jail sentence and how he wants people to remember him as he is not going to be gone forever. It also talks about the hard times in his life and how he doesn't give up. In the song T.I. mentions Martin Luther King and Malcolm X and how he is the modern day version of them.
The video was directed by Jessy Terrero.
