Reba McEntire - Strange Song Review
"Strange" is the title of a song written by Wendell Mobley, Jason Sellers and Neil Thrasher. It was recorded by American country music artist Reba McEntire as her first release for the Valory label, a sister label of Big Machine Records.
"Strange" is a moderate up-tempo in which the narrator states that she has just ended a relationship. McEntire described the song as "tongue-in-cheek. It's a little bit about, you know, 'I'm supposed to be in love with this guy and really heartbroken, but I'm not.' So, it's a tough-woman song."
The video is directed by Trey Fanjoy and shows the country music singer in the bedroom sitting on a pile of used tissues while singing to someone on the cellphone. It also includes Reba performing the song recorded for her upcoming twenty-sixth studio album "Keep on Loving You" with her band.
Reba McEntire's new album is due this summer.
