R Kelly ft Usher - Same Girl Song Review
Usher and R. Kelly team up for the Same Girl song. The song begins with R. Kelly describing his new girl to Usher…as he is going through the description Usher starts to realize that he is messing with the same chick.
The tune`s flaccid, and Usher simply sounds more generic than Kells, even though their pleasure in trading melismatic wails (regarding their revenge against the girl that, it`s dramatically revealed, is double-timing them with each other) is a little bit infectious, can`t lie.
Anyway, back to the review, the album is just ok - nothing more or less - but a die hard R. Kelly fan might beg to differ so again, I leave it at that for your discretion. In my opinion, he has indeed gotten a little reckless, watering down his lyrics to the masses, and he is getting older so I wouldn`t recommend going that route but as Mr. Carter so eloquently said, "men lie, women lie, numbers don`t."
Overall Same Girl video has some nice tunes and it's worth listening to.
