LCD Soundsystem - North American Scum Song Review
WE are North American scum", well, who am I to argue?
LCD Soundsystem have managed to create a monster, using the electronics of Beck, and the annoying `Wooooooo` part of every Kasier Chief song, but at the same time sounding ok.
Dance music without white gloves and throwing shapes is something I could get used to. Theirs is certainly a huge transgression period taking place at the moment with bands and artists alike not knowing what genre they are, and everyone just about falling into the electro rock pop combo with minimal effort.
I with this I think it`s only fair that we can blame LCD Soundsystem, in a good kind of way.
Is it just me or does it seems like LCD only knows one bass/drum beat? Take out the synths, lyrics and guitar riffs and it appears that every song is the same, or at the least very similar. But what ever has happened the talents that are available have been worked with very well.
I do like it, in an unenthusiastic kind of way. Perhaps not something I`d go out to buy, but something I`d like to hear on the radio a few times, but that`s as far as the love affair is going.
