Ciara - Never Ever Song Review
"Never Ever" is the first official single from R&B/Pop singer Ciara's third studio album, "Fantasy Ride". The song features rapper Young Jeezy, was produced by Polow da Don, and was co-written by Ciara and Elvis "BlacElvis" Williams, who both produced and co-wrote Ciara's last lead single, "Promise", from her sophomore album, "Ciara: The Evolution".
The song's chorus samples the 1972 worldwide hit, "If You Don't Know Me by Now", by popular Philadelphia soul musical group, Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes.
Ciara stated about the song, "...I'm talking about the confusion we all go through while being in love...it's real...u know sometimes i ask, "why does love have to be so complicated, why does it always have to be a game?"...."
Young Jeezy references Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak in the song.
The music video was shot in Atlanta during the weekend of January 10, 2009.
Rapper Dolla, producer Jasper Cameron, who's also a longtime friend of Ciara's, choreographer Jamaica, and R&B singer Monica are cameos in the music video, which was directed by Chris Robinson.
