Basement Jaxx - My Turn Song Review
Quasi-emo crooner Lightspeed Champion doesn't really seem like an intuitive choice to collaborate with UK house champions Basement Jaxx, but that didn't stop the duo from putting Champion on their track "My Turn," from their recently released "Scars".
The song has a straightforward pop song structure, catchy hooks, 4/4 beat, and vocal harmonies make this about as radio friendly as house gets.
In the music video, director Tomek Ducki summons a hoard of dancing bears. It`s a mellow endeavor that you should watch if you like designers finding a way to make space, bears, dancing and exploding hearts all share the same little window.
The animations for this video were originally intended to be projected on a 7 meter long LED screen behind the Basement Jaxx as visuals for their live performances. Lightspeed Champion had to be added as an afterthought.
