Missy Elliott Reveals New Songs "9th Inning," Triple Threat'

The female Virginia rapper is back with some hot new tracks from her upcoming album. Missy Elliott Reveals New Songs "9th Inning," Triple Threat'

It’s been seven long years since Missy Elliott released her last album Cookbook, but the tracks she and Timbaland have been working on demonstrate that the Virginia native hasn’t lost any of her signature style.

Two tracks have been revealed from her upcoming seventh album which, at the moment, is set to be titled Block Party.  The songs "9th Inning" and "Triple Threat" are both pretty tight but, really, the former sounds a lot more like what her fans are used to.

She refers to herself as being the “best” while she puts others in their place (as she loves to do) and spits out rhymes like "now I'm in the 9th inning, thought I fell off ain't quite finished," she spits. "Haters y'all lame, you a Missy fan."

She definitely wants us to know that she may not have delivered an album since 2005 but she has no plans of going anywhere.

"Triple Threat" sounds a lot like Timbaland and even has a sound that is reminiscent of Justin Timberlake’s “My Love” which, of course, he worked on with Timbaland. Naturally, Elliot doesn’t miss the opportunity to indulge in some self-praise, rapping: "I'm a pretty diva, call me senorita. I'm so fresh I'll find the cleaners/ Triple threat, rap, dance and I'm a singer."

Check out both songs here:
