Mindy McCready's Friends Planning Her Memorial Service
Late country singer Mindy McCready's reps have revealed that a memorial service for their client is being planned in Nashville Tennessee, where her music career truly kicked off in the early 90s.
The "Guys Do It All the Time" crooner's agent says that her friends in the music industry are organizing a tribute event for her, although the timing and venue has not been finalized yet.
"To complement formal family arrangements, preliminary plans are being made by Mindy's 'friends in music' to organize a memorial in Nashville in the coming days," the deceased 37-year-old's reps told the press in a statement on Monday.
McCready struggled with personal, legal and substance abuse problems for a number of years before her untimely death. An unnamed source with inside knowledge told FOX411's Pop Tarts column: "Mindy hasn't gotten any breaks in months. First David, then the kids, then rehab. She's been up and down in recent times. But after David, it was just too hard for her to bounce back.
"She didn't really have a support network and coming home to an empty house seems to be what really did it. It is tragic. She was a sweet and kind girl at heart."
