Miley Cyrus Finished New Album, Considering New Single
Miley Cyrus, over the past year, has dropped hints about the state of her upcoming album, including a hip-hop, as opposed to electronic, influence. In a recent interview with Mizz, the actress/pop star who played Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel for several seasons revealed the latest update regarding the release: mainly, that it’s complete and she’s in the process of deciding on a single.
To the magazine, Cyrus explained: “My next record is basically done – we’re just trying to figure out the single. I want my single to be what’s going to represent the whole record, rather than what’s gonna be a hit for two weeks. I really want it to be something I can be proud of.”
Additionally, Cyrus went onto discuss her upcoming film, So Undercover, in which she plays a cop infiltrating a sorority house in New Orleans. Because she tends to have a larger following overseas, she explained that she’s grateful for her fans and enjoys playing in London out of all cities.
Material from the pop star’s album has yet to leak, but a picture of her with Pharrell Williams and Tyler the Creator surfaced in the fall. She’s assumed to be working with these two artists, along with Rodney Jerkins, Hit-Boy, and Dr. Luke, who produced her hit “Party in the U.S.A.”
Now that it appears the former Disney star is looking to stay relevant and maintain a mature sound, what would you like her album or next single to sound like?
