Meek Mill is Collaborating With Timbaland for New Album
Everyone knows that, from a production standpoint, that Timbaland can turn a so-so track into a radio hit. That’s likely why rapper Meek Mill recently Instagrammed a picture of the two working together in the studio.
The rapper put out the photo on January 11, with the caption: “#timbo said he coming with that heat 4 for my new album.”
It’s unclear just what Timbaland will be doing for Meek Mill. While he’s known for producing pop stars and rappers alike, Timbaland has his own rap album in the works, Textbook Timbo, and Meek Mill’s debut, Dreams and Nightmares, featured a long list of collaborations.
Released through Warner and Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, Dreams and Nightmares debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart in October 2012, bringing in 165,000 copies its first week. The release featured guest appearances from a diverse group of artists, including Ross, Nas, Wale, Drake, Trey Songz, Big Sean, John Legend, 2 Chainz, and Mary J. Blinge, among others. The release generated singles “Amen” and “Burn.”
A deadline has yet to be announced for the follow-up to Dreams and Nightmares. Aside from Timbaland at this point, Diddy is rumored to be working with the Philadelphia-born rapper, as well.
If you’re a fan of the rapper, who would you like to see Meek Mill work with this time around?
