Matthew McConaughey Stars In Butch Walker And The Black Widows 'Synthesizers' Music Video
Dazed and Confused star Matthew McConaughey has returned to his roots in a new video for the ever evolving Butch Walker and the Black Widows’ latest track ‘Synthesizers’, per MSNBC. Back at it as his alter ego, David Wooderson, from the 1993 stoner flick, many will remember him as the character for his hilariously famous line. “That’s what I love about these high school girls….I get older, they stay the same,” Now almost twenty years later McConaughey nails it once again, as well as Walker and the guys.
In the 'Synthesizers' music video McConaughey is seen reworking a famous scene from the movie when he steps into a bar, much like back in the day when he struts into the Emporium, donning the same 70’s get up that consists of bell bottom pants, a Ted Nugent T-shirt, a tattoo on his forearm, cigarettes, and of course that arrogant, cocky demeanor, with the ladies by his side.
Discussing McConaughey’s role in the video, Butch said the "pair's mutual appreciation of each other led to the collaboration". He also added: "When it comes to classic characters, Matthew McConaughey’s Wooderson took the cake... And the high school girls with him.”
'Synthesizers' comes from Butch Walker's new album entitled 'The Spade' that is out now through Dangerbird Records. When it comes to McConaughey, the actor can be seen soon portraying a similar character in the upcoming movie Magic Mike.
