Madonna Kicks Off MDNA World Tour in Israel
Madonna's much publicised MDNA world tour has finally begun, with her first stop in Israel, where the pop superstar showed up dressed as a cheerleader and celebrated the launch with her fans. The "Give Me All You Luvin'" crooner sported a number of costumes that all highlighted her amazingly toned body and bulging biceps.
Around 35,000 fans had gathered to attend her show in Tel Aviv and Madonna told them: "I chose to start my world tour in Israel for a very specific and important reason. You can't be a fan of mine and not want peace in the world, we all bleed the same colour.
"If we can all rise above our egos and our titles and the names of our countries and our religions, and treat everyone around us with dignity and respect, then we are on the road to peace. If there is peace here in the Middle East, there can be peace in the whole world."
According to some reports, the 53-year-old singer had given away 580 tickets of her show for free to both the Israeli and Palestinian peacemakers, although some of them didn't accept her kind gesture.
Her Tel Aviv show began with sounds of church bells, followed by the appearance of some Catholic images on the big screen. The sound system then started playing the Hebrew prayer, after which Madge announced herself and tore into her famous "Girl Gone Wild" song.
After Israel, she is scheduled to hold concerts in Dubai, Europe, North and South America before wrapping it up on Australian soil early next year.
