Madonna Hints She Has a New Song Called “Messiah”
Madonna has been taking a different promotional approach this time around. While her manager did most of the talking for MDNA, her 2012 release debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, she’s taken to the task this time around with her Instagram account – although she’s only done one proper interview.
This time, Madge is hinting at a new song, possibly called “Messiah.” This past week, she posted a picture of the sheet music for the track, and then a video showed an orchestra playing the clip. The caption read: “Magic makes the people come together yaaaaaaaassssss #messiah.”
The character for her next release hasn’t been clear, but looks to veer toward dance music again. MDNA featured production from the Benassi Bros. and Martin Solveig, as well as contributions from long-time collaborator William Orbit. This time, Instagram photos and captions indicate she has been in the studio with Diplo – during one of their sessions, she compared him to a slave driver – and Avicii. Aside from these two, photos showed sessions with pop star/songwriter Natalia Kills.
However, some say that Madonna’s next album is already done. An Instagram status from Mert and Marcus, the photography team that has worked with Madonna in the past, claim they’ve already heard her upcoming release in full.
While MDNA opened strong, it fizzled soon after, and only generated one hit: “Give Me All Your Luvin’.” The follow up tour, however, turned out to be one of the year’s most successful.
