Madonna Has Started Work on a Follow-up to ‘MDNA’
In an interview with The Canadian Press, the pop star with a three decades long career said work has already started, but that she won’t reveal anything beyond that. She said: "Yes, plans are in the works already. Don't ask me with who - it's a secret. Top secret."
After Madonna has collaborated with the latest chart-topping pop stars on her last two releases, including Justin Timberlake on “Four Minutes” and Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. on “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” the interviewer asked about working with Drake, likely the biggest international star from Canada at the moment, and she said she’s open to it.
We’ll likely start to hear more details from manager Guy Oseary and producers as the process unfolds over the next year.
MDNA featured production from William Orbit, Benny and Alle Benassi, and Martin Solveig, among others. The album turned into her largest debut since Music in 2000 and resulted in the 11th highest-grossing tour of all time. Single “Give Me All Your Luvin’” earned her another top 10 hit, while follow ups “Girl Gone Wild” and “Turn Up The Radio” did well on the dance charts.
What would you like to see Madonna do this time around? Should she continue in the dance direction again?
