The dance producer wrote the announcement on Facebook after seeing Perry at his Coachella set.

Dance producer M83 wants to write Katy Perry's next album.

The "Midnight City" musician, whose real name is Anthony Gonalez, announced the comment on his Facebook wall after Perry watched his set at Coachella this past weekend. He wrote:

"I think I saw Katy Perry dancing on midnight city yesterday night. Katy, let me write your next album :)."

M83 wasn't the only act to receive Perry's praise over the weekend. On Twitter, the singer described Radiohead's headline set as "spiritual" and wrote that she "almost cried" when virtual Tupac hit the stage during Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's set.

However, this isn't the first time Perry has shown love to M83. She had previously told MTV that the musician was at the top of her playlist. "I've been listening to, well, I guess it would have to be M83's last record, this past record... I think I'm going to see him at Coachella. Oh man, I'm so there. I love it so much."

Is this the beginning of a beautiful relationship? Only time will tell.
