Lonely Island to Release Second Album
The "Saturday Night Live" comedy troupe "The Lonely Island" are about to release their second studio album called "Turtleneck and Chain". An A-list of stars is reported to be lining up to feature on the new release.
Akon, Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna have been teamed up to feature on collaborations on songs for the album. More guest collaborators will soon be unveiled as we get closer to the date of release.
The Lonely Island trio consists of comedians Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, and they have teamed up with Young Money Entertainment superstar Nicky Minaj in 'The Creep'.
The Lonely Island have also combined with Akon to produce the first single off the album 'I Just Had Sex'.
The album won't be out for another month, so the track listing is not yet available. However it is believed that Rihanna is tipped to assist in one of the "SNL" sketch songs, "Ronnie & Clyde" where she sang with Shy Ronnie on the show.
Success from their debut album "Incredibad" has prompted the funny-men into producing their second CD. They have had huge success on the show and over the Internet with the songs "Dick in a Box", "Jizz in My Pants", "Like a Boss", "I Just Had Sex", "The Creep", and "I'm on a Boat" for which they were nominated for a Grammy Award.
The "Turtleneck and Chain" album will be available in the US on May 10.
