"Lollipop" Video Review

Alexandra Stan is a young Romanian singer from Constanta, now on the rise due to hits like "Mr. Saxobeat" and "Get Back(ASAP)".

"Lollipop" is the first single that she released in 2009, and now included in her debut album "Saxobeats" released on August 29, 2011 via Columbia Records.

Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi, son of Nicholas Nemirschi, discovered Alexandra after her participation to "Mamaia Festival 2009" (where unfortunately she did not win any prize).

The idea of the song "Lollipop" came after many nights spent on the terrace of the studio, and now we all can enjoy a clip with beautiful girls and many lollipops.

"It's a sweet clip," Alexandra declared: "Some artists tend to imitate Lady Gaga or Beyoncé, but I wanted to show me at the age of 21. Maybe I exaggerated a bit with candy, I do not do this every day but in fact, I licked it so many lollipop making the video that my tongue got all red." Says Alexandra.

So where the candy idea came from? "The song went into clubs in January and the hostess started to come dressed in school uniforms (Japanese school uniform that is) and to licking lollipops. I must admit that is inspired me when I made the video, which came out very interesting" the artist continued.
