Lizzie Nightingale Releases Music Video for 'Sparkle'

Scottish songstress, Lizzie Nightingale, has just released her latest single, titled "Sparkle". Now based in London, she recently launched the single at a special event in her hometown of Glasgow where she was able to present her versatile soulful talents.

This year also marks the release of her debut album Room to Fall which she wrote and co-produced with Tom Aitkenhead (who has worked with such acts as The Noisettes, Pete Doherty, Laura Marling and others).

The music and stories conveyed in the album's songs are based on very personal experiences for Lizzie. Even though she considers herself somewhat of a story-teller, each song is about something significant that has occurred in her life – be it actually having happened to her or to someone very close to her. The album as a finished product is a very emotional journey.

Having grown up influenced by her mother's passion for the likes of David Bowie, The Beatles, Queen, and Motown classics, music was engendered in her veins. Harmonies hence came easy for her as did various music instruments starting with the clarinet.

With her passion for music clearly defined, she next released a demo tape to get herself heard. The success of the demo led to her next move down to London for a series of live performances. Her talent did not go un-noticed, as she was soon signed on to a record company – "25 Hour Convenience" record label. The first single to emerge was the buzz track "Left, Right, Left" which received remarkable critical acclaim and gave her the confidence to further pursue her passion leading up to the current debut album Room To Fall.

Following on from the debut album is her latest effort, the track "Sparkle" which is a mixture of drums and live instruments with haunting vocals - almost eerie.

Critics are excited about this up-and-coming artist with the versatile voice, and most music reviewers are expecting big things to happen for Lizzie Nightingale in the future.
