Lisa Loeb Announces Tour Dates for ‘No Fairy Tale’
After taking a detour into children’s music and other media projects, Lisa Loeb returned at the end of January with her first rock album in eight years. The release, No Fairy Tale, came out on 429 Records and features Loeb collaborating with New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert to create a “poppy-punky-rock album.”
Loeb initially worked with Gilbert on New Found Glory’s punk update of Loeb’s quintessential 1990s track “Stay (I Missed You).” About working with Gilbert, Loeb previously said: “It’s funny that Chad and I have always gotten along so well. He’s a tattoo-ed up post-punk rocker and I’m known more as a singer/songwriter with glasses, which may seem like an unlikely pair, but it totally makes sense. He brought a whole new angle to my music […].”
Other collaborators on the release include Tegan and Sara, Hello Goodbye, Morgan Taylor, Maia Sharp, and Marvin Etzion.
Loeb and 429 Records are now promoting the album with a few television performances and a tour. Loeb is scheduled to appear on Conan on February 19 and does Huffington Post Live the day after. Tour dates include the following appearances:
2.20.13 Los Angeles, CA @ The Bootleg (Silverlake)
2.21.13 San Francisco, CA @ The Independent
3.15.13 Jacksonville, FL @ Florida Theatre
3.16.13 Atlanta, GA @ The Variety Playhouse / The Atlanta Jewish Music Festival
