Lindsay Lohan's Accounts Seized, Charlie Sheen Comes to Rescue

Even though she's making money, Lohan never seems to be able to pay for anything. Lindsay Lohan's Accounts Seized, Charlie Sheen Comes to Rescue

It was reported yesterday that Lindsay Lohan’s bank accounts were seized by the IRS in an attempt to reclaim some of the hundreds of thousands of dollars she owes in back taxes.  The 26-year-old owes $233, 904 to the federal government who have now filed tax liens for 2009 and 2010.

Her father, Michael Lohan, asked a very good (but obvious) question: "Where is all her money going?"  Clearly, he felt we needed to know even more intimate details about his daughter’s finances since he also revealed that she was paid more than $100,000 to promote the Mr. Pink energy drink recently.

In an interesting twist, it is said that she is $100,000 less in debt to the IRS suddenly after a famous friend insisted on helping her.  Charlie Sheen, with whom she has worked on Scary Movie 5 and Two and a Half Men, tried to give Lohan the money and, when she refused, he sent the money to her manager who used it to pay down the amount owing.

It’s both heartwarming and frustrating to see this sort of support in a situation like this.  In this economy, people would kill to be able to make the money Lohan earns and to see her throw it away is very difficult (even though she clearly needs help).  It’s sweet, however, to see Sheen reaching out and trying to help someone who, in many ways, is not that different from himself.

Hopefully, she sees how lucky she is and takes the necessary steps to get her life back on track.
