Limp Bizkit Releases Its Latest Album, Gold Cobra
American rock band, Limp Bizkit, has just released its latest album, Gold Cobra. Due to various changes of plans with the album's release, a number of songs have already been pre-released. Why Try and Walking Away have been issued via their official site, and with so many new songs already written, there is now serious talk about a possible seventh album as the band announced on Twitter, "Obviously we have two albums here, in case you didn't pick up on that. First one is Gold Cobra. Due soon."
The band has since released two more singles, Shotgun and Gold Cobra.
The album Gold Cobra now is available, having been issued in three different versions – standard album with 13 songs, a deluxe edition having 16 tracks, and a "Best Buy" deluxe version with 17 songs.
Critics have been expecting something grand from the guys after such a long wait between albums. They have not produced any new work since 2005 when they released The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1). More to the point, columnists have said that Gold Cobra does not add anything to the band's sound from back in the nineties.
But, they continue, if you were a huge fan of the nu-metal band back then, you will be pleasantly surprised to hear more of the same type of music that you really enjoyed back then. Expectations are that the album is likely to sell around 23,000 to 27,000 copies in this first week of release.
Limp Bizkit is a band that has filled concert arenas wherever they have performed. They achieved massive success with the studio album Significant Other which sold more than 16 million copies worldwide and reached the number one spot on the Billboard charts. The band has also been nominated for Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, MTV Awards and others.
