Lily Allen Talks Album in Works
Nearly three years ago, Lily Allen mentioned she was retiring from music. And, since that point, it truly looked like Allen, after a string of successful singles, was walking away from a pop career, having a child last year and assuming the life of a mother. But, as of recent, Allen has resurrected her career, slowly but surely. One hint was her collaboration with Pink, which appeared on Pink’s recent The Truth About Love. Along with this, Allen discussed on Twitter progress about her album.
But, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up just yet. In a recent interview, Allen assured that, yes, an album will happen – just not now and not quickly. Additionally, no tracks will be previewed unless the “Smile” singer finalizes them. She said: "I'm not going to put anything out until I've got an end product which I think's amazing – or, you know, good. […] I don't think there's going to be anything out in the next few months. But hopefully in the next year."
Allen has been in the studio with Greg Kurston. Previously, she tweeted about their work in the studio, saying it’s: “No big deal really, I'm just throwing sh*t at the wall and seeing if anything sticks."
The singer, on the other hand, has other concerns at the moment. While she gave birth to her daughter, Ethel Mary, in November, Allen announced her second pregnancy over the summer.
