Lil Kim Sued for $15 Million By Former Business Manager
Being a diva in the industry doesn’t always put you ahead of the game – a hard lesson that rapper Lil’ Kim has learned. The star, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, is being sued by her former business manager Andrew Ro for business deals that failed due to her diva behaviour.
Ro’s company, International Rock Star Corp, had several endorsement pursuits lined up for Kim who signed a licensing deal with the company back in August of 2012. Some of these endorsements included a vodka line, clothing line, perfume line, Steve Madden shoe line, energy drink and honey maker.
Kim’s attitude became a problem when she refused to show up for business meetings unless she was paid extra for the time. On top of that, when a project - such as the perfume line - was executed, she stopped taking the company’s phone calls and refused to promote the product.
After cutting contact, Kim sent off a cease and desist letter regarding future projects and filed a lawsuit claiming she was tricked into signing a bad licensing deal. Now, Ro is hitting back with his own lawsuit and is suing Kim for $15 million, which is equal to how much his company lost due to Kim’s bad behaviour.
