Lil' Kim and Young Jeezy Have the "Keys to the City" in New Song
On “106 & Park,” Lil’ Kim described her new record with Young Jeezy as “vintage Kim mixed with the new Kim. Pardon us, Queen B, but we respectfully disagree. This song is 100% original Kimmy Blanco.
“You already snow.” Lil’ Kim introduces herself and Jeezy over a hard-ass track that begs to be ridden – and Kimmy certainly delivers.
“A boss bitch, work from home, and she able. It’s like surgery, operation’s on the table… better have my money. If you don’t, nigga, bring it back,” Kim raps with a bad bitch certainty that is reminiscent of her earlier days.
Kim also adds a few verses that make us wonder if she’s talking about, well, you-know-who.
“Me and them bird bitches don’t mix in. That’s why I went to jail for not snitchin.’”
As the elder Snowman, Jeezy tries to impress, as well, but it is apparent – in this song, at least – that Lil’ Kim is still the H.B.I.C.
“Sizzle in the club with his yellow gold chain, betcha niggas never seen a yellow gold Range,” Jeezy raps, his elementary school rhymes falling short. Kim cleans up the end, though.
Listen to the track below and decide for yourself if you think Lil’ Kim is back.
