The beef between rapper Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj might come to an end soon as the veteran Kim is showing signs of offering an olive branch to her feisty opponent.

In a radio interview with Angie Martinez at the hip hop station Hot 97, Kim revealed that at one point during her career she and Minaj were both associated with Cash Money record label and if things would’ve gone the other way, they might have ended up as teammates instead of rivals.

Kim said, "A lot of people might not know this, but me and [Cash Money co-CEO] Slim were very good friends. Very good friends for four or five years. My thing is this: I haven't been doing music like that for a second and I looked at her buzz as a way in for me. I'm like, 'OK, this is a good thing. This a way for me to kind of come back in. "

The Brooklyn femcee further revealed that during their joint association with Cash Money, they even recorded some material together. But her material was adjudged to be the better of the two and according to Kim; it was that moment when Minaj may have developed a disliking for her.

But Lil Lim thinks that an up-and-comer like Minaj should have given more respect to an experienced campaigner like her.

"I saw her coming up. I saw her coming in the game, like, 'All you chicks that been in the game for 10 years, move over. Y'all need to sit down.' And this and that. I thought that was disrespectful," said Kim.

However, Queen Bee clarified that she does not want to pick fights with anyone. "I'm not looking for beef. I'm not looking for someone to start a war with. That's not me. That's not what I do," concluded Kim.
