Legal Fight Between Liam and Noel Gallagher Appears To Be Back On

Alleged "new court documents" have refueled the lawsuit between the Oasis brothers Legal Fight Between Liam and Noel Gallagher Appears To Be Back On

The tiffs between Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are the stuff of rock legend, stemming all the way back to 1994 when Liam changed the lyrics of Noel's songs during a live show to offend his brother.

The fights tend to end in brawls and cancelled shows, but the current dispute has found the two in court after Liam filed a lawsuit this past summer against Noel due to certain comments he made regarding the Oasis breakup.

"I have taken legal action against Noel Gallagher for statements he made during the Electric Cinema press conference on July 6 during which he claimed Oasis pulled out of the 2009 V Festival Chelmsford gig because I had a hangover," Liam stated. He added, "That is a lie and I want Oasis fans, and others who were at V, to know the truth."

However, Liam quickly dropped the suit after Noel offered an apology and admitted that Liam had been suffering from laryngitis at the time of the V Festival. But according to the Daily Mirror this morning, Noel has now filed a 14-page court submission accusing his brother of leaving abusive voicemail messages on his wife Sara's phone and trying to attack him, "wielding a guitar 'like an axe.'"

And if you ever thought the brothers might not hold a grudge against one another, the papers also describe, "how Noel regarded his brother as 'spiteful and childish' for mocking him on stage."

Who knows what will happen next, but as a spokesman for Liam said last night, "After Noel apologized the matter is now in the hands of lawyers."
