LeAnn Rimes Takes Her Dentist to Court
Country singer LeAnn Rimes is so mad at her dentist that she is dragging him to court. The "Blue" hitmaker has claimed that a certain Dr. Duane C. McKay, who operated on her teeth over a period of three years, committed medical malpractice and caused her severe dental, emotional and financial pain.
According to Rimes' court papers, McKay had told the singer that his procedures would reduce the pain in her Temporomandibular joint. She had also undergone some other work to improve her denture. However, the dentist failed to deliver the results he had promised and instead, she was forced to undergo endodontic therapy and bone grafting surgeries nine times, a temporary dental restoration and also required physiotherapy. His treatment, she claims, has left her with "permanent cosmetic deficiency."
Through the lawsuit, Rimes is hoping to recover unspecified damages for the distress she suffered. In addition to it, the 30-year-old crooner's tooth troubles made her scrap several shows last year and she blames McKay's malpractice to be the prime reason behind it. Hence, she is also seeking payback for all the missed concerts and the permanent damage that this entire episode has caused to her future earning capability.
