LeAnn Rimes Accused of Abusing Laxatives, Discusses Depression
If anyone thought that things between LeAnn Rimes and her husband, Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, were improving, they were sorely mistaken. Glanville, undoubtedly still very bitter about being cheated on and ultimately abandoned for Rimes, had some incredibly damaging things to say about the country star.
In a move that some could argue started this latest outburst, Cibrian, released a private email to Brandi to RadarOnline. He was annoyed that Glanville was tweeting about Rimes’ lack of parenting skills.
In his email, he wrote: “One day when wine and narcissism are not consuming you, you will realize how fortunate the kids are to have LeAnn in their life. She is amazing with them, as the kids will 100 percent attest to… You should be so lucky to one day find someone who will love and respect Mason and Jake as she does. Although, I really don’t know how anyone can put up with your constant bullshit. No wonder you have lost so many ‘close’ friends… Grow up already and for once, PUT THE KIDS FIRST!”
OUCH!!! Some might argue that, when he was cheating on their mother, he wasn’t putting their needs first. He was thinking about his own. Regardless, no one knows what their relationship was really like and, technically, he has a right to share personal communications but he couldn’t have thought that Glanville was going to go down without a fight, did he?
On her Facebook page (the post has since been removed), she wrote: “My kids are my life. However your wife…is addicted to laxatives that Mason got sick on. Oh and [names that have been omitted] won’t shut up about how miserable you are. Your ‘close friends’ talk s*** all the time about you are your wife ALL THE TIME. Leann is horrid and addicted to laxatives and aderol (sic) and has severe mental issues…[a friend] lovingly refers to LeAnn has an angelfish because she sings like an angel and drinks like a fish…”
Wow! Naturally, Rimes’ publicist denies all of these allegations and accused Glanville of trying to drum up publicity for her book. The ex-Mrs. Cibrian took her rant down and tweeted: “I’m taking [my] email down I was in defense mode after seeing EC put his on @radar_online. Let’s not talk of them anymore I was wrong 2 put it up.”
Notice, she didn’t deny the truth of any of her words, just that she shouldn’t have shared them.
Meanwhile, Rimes, who spent 30 days in a treatment center earlier this year for anxiety and stress, has revealed that she has also been battling depression. In an interview, she said: "I was incredibly depressed and not quite sure of who I was." She added that people are so quick to judge which has made things even harder.
Hopefully, for the sake of the children involved, these three can find some way to be happier, healthier and less destructive.
