"Glee" actress, Lea Michele, has just been confirmed to sing "America the Beautiful" at the Super Bowl XLV next weekend. She will take to the stage just before the showdown occurs between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, a confrontation tipped to be one of the closest match line-ups in NFL Super Bowl history.

The NFL final-grudge event this year is being held at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Texas, being the first time the Super Bowl has ever been held in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Like the Olympic Games, cities around the US bid for the opportunity to host the ultimate match of the season. The North Texas site in Arlington was selected in May 2007.

The performance by the Rachel Berry of "Glee" will start the proceedings just before the 5.30pm kickoff.

The 'National Anthem', instilling pride into every American, will be sung by Christina Aguilera. Emotions will overflow, turning up the heat for the match.

And just when you thought that the bar had been raised to the limit, the Black Eyed Peas will entertain the masses for the half-time show.

After the NFL final, fans will be able to see and hear more of Lea Michele in the next episode of "Glee" (in the US) where she will be covering songs by Michael Jackson, Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry. Being immediately after the Super Bowl, the episode has a sporty theme about it.

So busy has Lea Michele been with her "Glee" schedule, that in the rush to keep to her agenda she avoided signing an autograph for "True Grit" star Hailee Steinfeld. The 14-year-old actress said about the incident, "I was practically crying on the way home. I was so sad!" On hearing this, Lea Michele said she felt so miserable on hearing the comments that she has made a public apology. Talking to GossipCop.com Michele said, "I heard Hailee was upset and I feel terrible. The "Glee" schedule is so jam-packed that the PA probably pulled me so that I wouldn't be late to set. I never meant to hurt her feelings. She's an extraordinary talent and I look forward to meeting her one day."
