Lauryn Hill Extends 'Moving Target' Tour

Lauryn Hill has Extended her 'Moving Target' Tour but only to Small Venues for Intimate Experience Lauryn Hill Extends 'Moving Target' Tour

Lauryn Hill has recently decided to extend the current series of concerts with an extra few dates for performances. Called the "Moving Target: Extended Intimate Playdate Series", the tour will include a further twelve cities across the US.

Once remembered as the front-woman for the American hip hop band, The Fugees, Lauren Hill began her solo career in 1998 with the launch of her very highly successful album "The Miseducation of Lauren Hill". This debut studio album released three singles 'Doo Wop (That Thing)', 'Ex-Factor' and 'Everything is Everything', all of which performed well in the charts. The album has been ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as one of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Interestingly, on the album there are several interludes of a teacher speaking to a class of children about the concept of love.

The album has been a worldwide commercial success, to the point where in 1999 it was nominated for 10 Grammy Awards, winning five.

Lauren Hill has extended her tour, but holding concerts only in smaller venues for the purpose of having a more intimate experience with her fans. She said, "One of the benefits of playing venues smaller than the ones I'm used to allows me the opportunity to not only reconnect with my supporters but to expose them to a portion of the musical journey I've been on, which the world, for the most part, has not had access to."

"These more intimate playdates afford me the time to perform for listeners who haven't heard from me over the past several years or have been misinformed by the inaccuracies in some media coverage, many of which I might add, I find very amusing."

In addition to the intimate concert settings for her fans, Lauren has also opened a Twitter account @MsHillMvngTrgt.
