Lana Del Rey Makes TV Debut And Sings 'Video Games'

The 'Born To Die' Singer Performs For Her National TV Appearance On Saturday Night Live Even Before Her First Album Is Released Lana Del Rey Makes TV Debut And Sings 'Video Games'

US singer, Lana Del Rey, made her national television debut  last weekend, appearing on Saturday Night Live. Having already tasted fame with her YouTube viral sensation "Video Games", Lana is in the select category of celebrities to have performed on SNL prior to releasing their first album. She mentioned this during an interview, saying, "I got it because I'm a good musician." She then added,  "I may not have a record out now, but I have been singing for a very long time, and I think that Lorne [Michaels - SNL producer] knows that, and everyone over there knows that."

On her TV debut, she performed Video Games and Blue Jeans, two of the tracks from her upcoming album, Born To Die, which is due to  be released at the end of this month.

Not really feeling comfortable with all the attention, now that she is famous, Del Rey stated that her life is now much more complicated. Her whole lifestyle is now under the microscope for all to see. She said that she'd rather people just looked at only the songs, saying, "It just seems to have taken a funny turn." Even British Prime Minister, David Cameron, recently stated that he is one of her fans.

About a year ago, Lana released a self-titled album that was only on the market for a short time before being withdrawn, for unknown reasons. The Born To Die album is due for release on 30th January, hinting that this album will be available for the long term. The music video for the title track was released last December, and a discussion about the clip can be read at the KOvideo site.
