Lady Gaga Premieres 'Hair' and 'Marry the Night'

Born This Way is already easily one of the most anticipated pop releases of 2011 and Lady Gaga is fueling the crescendoing hype now by feeding fans more of the album exclusively on Farmville and iTunes.

Last week's digital promo single 'The Edge of Glory' became an instant classic when it dropped and went straight to #1 on iTunes in several countries including the US, UK and Australia. Its follow up 'Hair' was released on iTunes this Monday while over on Farmville (or shall we say, Gagaville) fans have the opportunity to unlock an exclusive stream of another album track 'Marry The Night'.

'Hair' is a youthful and petulant rebel song that hears Gaga declare, "I just wanna be myself and I want you to love me for who I am... I'll die living just as free as my hair!" The track, which the singer had described as possessing a "Bruce Springsteen vibe", celebrates how we express ourselves through our hair.

Sonically, 'Hair' sounds like a creatively frustrated sister of 'The Edge of Glory', sharing similar sledgehammering club beats and saxophone features although they were hemmed by different producers. RedOne, who had crafted many of Gaga's best known hits like 'Poker Face' and 'Bad Romance', is behind 'Hair' while 'The Edge of Glory' was produced by Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow, who also did the new album's title track. On the flip side, 'Marry The Night' channels flamboyant 90s dance/pop hooks with acid wash beats. Think of it as Gaga doing Real McCoy for the 21st century New York club scene.

The next two Born This Way tracks to be unlocked on Farmville will be 'Electric Chapel' and 'Fashion of His Love'. Both standard and special edition of Lady Gaga's Born This Way album hits stores worldwide on 23 May.
