Lady Gaga has revealed that a 'show injury,' which she has been carrying for quite a while, has caused inflammation of her joints and her condition has worsened so much that she has decided to cancel her next three concerts.

The Mother Monster was scheduled to hold three shows in Chicago, Detroit and the Canadian city of Hamilton this week but has decided to postpone all of those dates for the sake of her health.

"There's an unfortunate announcement coming out right now, concerning myself and the Born This Ball. Im so sorry. I barely know what to say," Gaga told her more than 34 million followers on Twitter before explaining: "I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal."

She further added: "I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't."

The "Poker Face" crooner then apologised some more by tweeting: "To the fans in Chicago Detroit & Hamilton I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devasted & sad.

"It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry."

According to a separate message posted on her account, Gaga has a case of synovitis, which affects the joints, making the patient's movements limited and very painful.
