Lady Gaga Looks Hot on "Machete Kills" Poster

Robert Rodriguez is trying to bring exploitation cinema back which is obvious from his former movies Sin City (2005) and Grindhouse (2007). His upcoming flick, Machete Kills, is set for a 2013 release and the director has cast quite a star in one of the roles – Lady Gaga.

The singer will be making her acting debut in the film and Rodriguez seems very excited about her involvement. He tweeted: “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”

Gaga will be portraying “La Chameléon,” and it shouldn’t be too much of a stretch for her - the character likes to wear wolf fur while she shoots silenced pistols.  That could be any one of her music videos, to be honest.  She could probably pull that role off in her sleep!

She, herself, tweeted her own message about working on the project: “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”

The cast also includes Vanessa Hudgens, Sofia Vergara, Michelle Rodriguez, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen and Edward James Olmos.  That should be interesting.
