Lady Gaga Does Not Support Adele Attacks

Some fans of the ‘Born This Way’ singer, Lady Gaga, have lost sight of what the iconic singer’s lyrics mean, and what she stands for.  Up against Adele, who dominates the nominations for the American Music Awards, Gaga fans have gone too far.

In a storm of online attacks, via Twitter and more, Gaga fans have been insulting Adele’s weight and making cruel jokes and comments that Lady Gaga says she does not support.  "Confirmed: Gaga will not be wearing her meat dress because she is afraid Adele will eat it."

Adele, who is up for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist and Adult Contemporary Artist, has stated that she doesn’t care, according to The Independent, but Gaga does, and delivered a message to her “little monsters”, who have insulted Adele.

"Anyone who would say anything negative about Adele, I wouldn't support. I love her immensely. She's very sweet. We've exchanged emails about our mutual love.  I wish her all the best for her recovery in her vocals, and I can't wait to hear her new music. It's wonderful to see such strong women thriving in pop music."

Meanwhile, Adele has been keeping her loyal fans up to date on the status of her health after having vocal cord surgery that forced her to cancel her tour.  In a posting to fans on her website last week, she said: "I'm doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all. The operation was a success and I'm just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors. Thank you to everyone who voted for the awards. Hugely appreciated. I best get back to practising my mime show now."

The 2011 American Music Awards ceremony will kick of this Sunday, November 20^th.  The awards ceremony will be held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and will air live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
