Lady GaGa and Tony Bennett Treat Fans with Music from Their Upcoming Jazz Album (VIDEO)
Lady GaGa surprised everyone earlier this week by showing up unannounced at a Tony Bennett show at the Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada. A few songs into his set, Bennett caught his fans off guard by calling the Mother Monster on stage.
Sporting a beaded white sequin gown and a white cape, the "Born This Way" hitmaker honored the veteran singer's invitation, and then the two stars proceeded to perform some of their music from their upcoming Jazz album "Cheek to Cheek".
Those present at the event, later told the press that the duo sang a couple of duets and also some solos.
"He sang 'Sophisticated Lady' to her and dedicated his song 'The Good Life' to 'my good friend Lady GaGa,' " the audience member told Page Six.
This isn't the first time that Bennett and GaGa have collaborated. The two first teamed up in 2011 to record their version of the famous show tune "The Lady Is a Tramp" for his Grammy Award-winning album, Duets II.
A year later, GaGa pitched the idea of an entire jazz album which Bennett accepted. Both the stars are extremely excited about their joint compilation, which is scheduled for a worldwide release later this year.
Bennett has gone as far as saying that "Cheek to Cheek" could propel GaGa to unprecedented levels of success the likes of which even greats such as Elvis Presley hadn't seen.
