Kid Rock's "Born Free" Tour 2011

While most of the people become afraid of their age when they turn 40, Kid Rock doesn't. Obviously he feels young enough, so he decided to celebrate his 40th birthday on 15 January, together with 60 000 friends and fans in Detroit. The event is going to take place on the Detroit Lions football team home, Ford Field. In his honor the stadium will be renamed to "40 Field", only for that night. With this concert Michigan's best starts his "Born Free" tour, in support of his latest same-name album.

As always, he will be backed by familiar background - his own Twisted Brown Trucker Band. Jamey Johnson, the country singer who received a lot of great critics for his new album "The Guitar Song", will appear on all the dates of the tour. Also, fans can expect a lot of surprises and special guests on the live birthday show.

Tickets for the big opening night will go on sale November 26th, while tickets for other shows will go on sale December 3rd and December 4th. After Detroit, the tour continues in two more towns in his favorite Michigan, before going on in Ohio. First leg of 27 concert shows will finish on March 12th in Memphis, Tennessee, but tour won't stop there, as more dates will be added later.

Kid Rock next will appear live at the American Music Awards on Sunday. The documentary that was shot about him, "Kid Rock: Born Free" started showing last night on MTV, VH1 and CMT; and don't forget to watch the "Born Free" music video too.
