Kesha’s “Crazy Kids” Leaked
Ke$ha’s sophomore album Warrior hits stores in less than two weeks, and leading single “Die Young” has turned into a hit. But, just this past week, the singer experienced a leak for song “Crazy Kids.” While it has not been reported if “Crazy Kids” will be a single, the track was produced by the same trio behind “Die Young” – Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco, and Cirkut.
If you have yet to hear the track, “Crazy Kids” sways more toward typical Ke$ha material, albeit more low-key and with greater guitar presence. Although the track opens with more singing, Ke$ha turns up the sass with a raunch-lite rap. Production, as well, goes farther in quality than the Casio-esque tracks from her debut Animal. Listen to it below:
“Die Young” has already traveled up to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Ke$ha even gave a notable performance of the song at the recent American Music Awards. “Die Young,” as well as “Crazy Kids,” hints at a new direction for the singer, who tapped into her rock side while working on Warrior. A lengthy and varied string of collaborators appear on the album, including Bonnie McKee, Iggy Pop, the Black Keys' Patrick Carney, the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, Ben Folds, Greg Kurstin, Ammo, Kojak, Max Martin, Billboard, and Will.i.am.
Regarding Warrior, Ke$ha said in a statement: "I've been working for a year on this new record and have collaborated with some of my idols. This process has been long and intense and I couldn't be more stoked to share this music. I hope with 'Warrior' my fans get to know me in a much more raw and vulnerable way."
