Kesha "Getting Really Close" to Releasing New Album
Fans first heard Kesha’s voice on Flo Rida’s smash hit “Right Round” but they didn’t even know it was her, at first, since she refused to perform the song live or appear in the video. She wanted to become a success through her own music and she certainly has. Known for her party girl image, she burst onto the scene with singles like “Tik Tok,” “We R Who We R” and “Take It Off.”
Now she’s working on new material and Dr. Luke, who is executive producing the effort, says that fans should expect “awesomeness.” He added: "You're going to hear her voice more. She asked for less production tricks and stuff like that this time. There are more guitars on the record now, too; on ('Animal'), Ke$ha was the one who told me, 'Under no circumstance will I have any guitars on the record.' That wasn't really my call. So we made those (songs) without guitars. This record we're allowed to use a little guitar.”
The album doesn’t have a title or release date yet but Dr. Luke makes it seem like we won’t be waiting too much longer. "We're getting really close" he said. "You're going to hear an artist that's grown and is evolving, but it's Ke$ha. She's no choir girl yet."
