Kelly Rowland Downplays Talks of 'Destiny's Child' Reunion Tour
The 32-year-old singer, who was one of the three members of the now defunct R&B trio, presented an award at Sunday's annual Grammys event and later on told the media that a reunion tour with Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams is not in the pipeline.
Calls for a get-together concert series intensified after the three stars combined to deliver a magnificent performance at the Super Bowl halftime show a fortnight ago.
Although Rowland didn't say that it could never happen, she believes that the hectic demands of their solo careers mean that a reunion will be hard to arrange.
"I can't say anything about a possible tour. I know Beyonce is touring. I have my new single 'Kisses Down Low,' and Michelle is doing 'Fela!' If something like that comes up in conversation - it hasn't - then we'll see what happens," Rowland said after concluding her award presentation duty with rapper Nas.
But if the Super Bowl performance ends up being their last ever performance together, Rowland believes there couldn't have been a better farewell to the group.
"Oh my gosh, I cannot begin to tell you how much fun that was. It felt really good to look on the other side of the stage and Beyonce and Michelle were walking in for 'Bootylicious.' I miss those moments with my sisters. It was incredible. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. It was hard to keep that secret," she added.
