Kelly Clarkson duets with Kara DioGuardi for new album
Kelly's band member and musical director, Jason Halbert, revealed that the pop singer has teamed up with Kara Dioguardi on a track titled 'The Sun Will Rise', which was written by Kyle Jacobs (country music writer who has penned songs for Garth Brooks and Kellie Pickler) [source].
The track is one of many closely-guarded recordings on Clarkson's forthcoming fifth studio album "Stronger", which the popstar herself hasn't even got a copy of yet. It is all a new measure put in place to ensure that no more of Clarkson's new material leaks online.
In the time it has taken the 29-year old to complete this album, she has seen no less than 50 new songs leak on the internet - an experience Clarkson describes as "worse than being physically robbed".
Clarkson revealed to Entertainment Weekly that she had been on vacation in Tahiti when she found out about the leak.
"Oh my God, have you ever been robbed? I have. I've been physically robbed a couple of times, but this is much worse," she said.
The singer said part of her concern with the leaked songs was how fans would perceive the quality of her material.
"Those songs came out and people are like, 'Oh my God, what direction is Kelly going?'..."
"I think what made me mad was that - one, people stole from me, and two, everybody had no idea what my next album was going to sound like. That really caused a lot of confusion," she said.
Kelly Clarkson will exclusively premiere her new single 'Mr Know It All' on her website on 30 August. The track will hit digital retailers on 5 September. The forthcoming album "Stronger" will arrive on 25 October.
