Kelis's New Music Video 'Brave'

American musical artist and multi-award winner Kelis has just released a Rankin-directed music video for her latest single "Brave". The video is a bit of a surprise with Kelis wearing a simple white outfit while moving in front of only a simple white background. The video has no specific storyline - keeping everything simple just like the colour white.

This basic music video "Brave" was co-produced by will.i.am and Benny Benassi, and is a song written about her recent failed marriage to rapper Nas. It was co-written by Kelis with Will Adams, Jean Baptiste, and James Fauntleroy.

She told Us Magazine, "After (the split), everyone was like, 'You are going through a rough time, you should write something personal.' I wear my feelings on my sleeve. The hardest decisions are the best ones and for me that was really the case. I am definitely better today than I was a year ago. And I'll be better next year."

Kelis has been a winner of BRIT Award, Q Award, and NME Award. Kelis has also been nominated for two prestigious Grammy Awards. Some of her other big hits which have made her world famous are "Acapella", "Bossy", "Milkshake" and "Caught Out There". She has been a support artist for world famous artists Moby during the Area One Tour, and U2 on their Elevation Tour in Europe. Kelis and Swedish pop singer Robyn teamed up for the All Hearts Tour which was a joint concert tour. Although Kelis and Robyn toured separately they met up on certain dates for joint performances.

Kelis has also opened for the Britney Spears Onyx Hotel Tour. To date, Kelis has reached over 6 million record sales worldwide for albums and singles.
