Keith Urban: American Idol Judges Are Getting "The Hang of It"
The judges’ panel on American Idol is going to look very different when the new season begins in 2013 since producers have kept Randy Jackson and added Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.
Early on, there were reports of serious fighting between the women (and a video of them arguing hit the internet) but Urban says that, over time, things started going much smoother.
As the New Zealander explains, there was a learning curve just like with any job but insists: "we're just getting our groove. We're like four people on the dance floor stepping on each other's toes, until we get the hang of it."
In terms of providing any clues about the upcoming season, he does divulge that they are sending “well over 200 people to Hollywood.” That’s a huge number!
The country star has announced his upcoming tour and concedes that sitting at the table as a judge is a lot easier than performing night after night in a different city every day even though he finds the experience of singing for his fans very rewarding.
We’ll get to see Urban in action, along with the other judges, when the twelfth season of American Idol premieres on January 16, 2013.
