Ke$ha to Sing on Alice Cooper’s Upcoming Album

Ke$ha and Alice Cooper? Although the party-girl pop star and the classic shock rocker appear to be too far off musically from each other, they’re not all that different – especially when it comes to giving listeners a jolt. While Cooper made a guest appearance at one of Ke$ha’s Get $leazy tour shows in Oslo to do “School’s Out,” the pop star who’s scored a long string of hits over the past two years will sing on the rocker’s upcoming album.

If you can recall, Cooper announced last month that he’s releasing a new album, a sequel to his 1975 work Welcome to my Nightmare. Titled Welcome 2 my Nightmare, Cooper’s latest is expected to hit stores on October 17, and the first single, a track titled “I’ll Bite Your Face Off,” comes out digitally on August 22 and as a 7-inch single on September 12.

Ke$ha is set to sing on song “What Baby Wants.” About working with the “Tik Tok” singer, Cooper said: “I think a lot of my audience is going to go, ‘Ke$ha!?’, but she probably wrote the most disgusting lyrics in the song – we had to rein her in. I like people to know that just because artists are put in a pigeon hole, that doesn't mean that's what they are. Give people a little room.”

Surprised Ke$ha impressed the shock rocker with her songwriting abilities? Don’t be. Although she’s been criticized for overly Auto-Tuned vocals, she has been a songwriter in the music industry for the past six years, even creating lyrics for Miranda Cosgrove, Miley Cyrus, and Britney Spears.

Cooper, as well, is no stranger to teen pop. In the past, he joined the A*Teens (remember them?) on stage and has even requested Lady Gaga, in her meat dress, make an appearance on his upcoming tour for Welcome 2 my Nightmare. No word if the “Born This Way” singer has accepted the offer.
