Katy Perry's Demo For 'Bullet' Leaks Online

A demo of Bullet sung by Katy Perry has surfaced online. How? Who knows!  But Katy wrote the song about three years for US country singer Jessie James who used the song on her self-titled debut album back in 2009. Now Katy Perry is singing the song she originally wrote.

The track has a real country music twang as she sings, "my mama warned me about boys like you." Maybe she is also sending out a message to Russell Brand from whom she has just recently split.

Katy spent Christmas in Hawaii, while Russell celebrated the festivities with friends in Cornwall, England. Apparently, Rihanna even offered Katy an invitation to commemorate the festive season with her in Barbados.

On New Year's Eve, Katy was seen at a gathering in West Hollywood where she was laughing with friends. One of the patrons commented, "One wouldn’t have ever even known that her husband had just filed for divorce."

The marriage is over. The English comedian filed for divorce last Friday - they were together for 14 months. The London law office sent out a statement claiming "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, and various sources have claimed that Russell could no longer tolerate her constant partying. Apparently, no pre-nup agreement was signed before their union in 2010 at a Hindu ceremony in India.    

Katy Perry is a prolific songwriter, having penned numerous tracks for other artists including Kelly Clarkson, Ashley Tisdale and Selena Gomez.

The song is definitely "country music" with its banjo sound and regular beat. The words used are typically country lyrics with "mama" and "papa" and with a story like most country songs of advice given by wiser minds.
