Katy Perry Reveals 'Prism' Cover Artwork On GMA
Fresh from the successful promotional campaigning of her new song "Roar," pop superstar Katy Perry has now turned her attention to the upcoming release of the entire album, of which the aforementioned song will be a part.
Last Friday, she took the very first step in this regard by unveiling the cover artwork of the disc titled "Prism," which is set for international release on October 21.
She did so during her guest appearance on TV show "Good Morning America" and later posted the image on Twitter, along with the message: "If you missed it on the JUMBOTRON on @GMA, here it is - my #PRISM album cover, shot by the wonderful Ryan McGinley!"
Unlike her previous album covers, this current one is quite simpler. She is basically standing in a flower field with almost no make-up on - a far cry from her ultra-hip and synthetic artwork of the old. This drastic change is a clear sign now that the 27-year-old popstress is an established global superstar, she wants to shed her "Teenage Dream" image and get recognised solely as a singing phenomenon.
In addition to unveiling the graphics, she also released the 12-song tracklist, which also features "Roar" - the seventh Billboard Hot 100 topper of her career.
