Katy Perry Hinting at “Roar” Follow Up
Katy Perry’s “Roar,” the first single off upcoming album Prism, has performed well so far, so before the album comes out next month, fans are wondering what her plans are for her next track.
According to a report from PerezHilton.com, Perry spoke about putting out a more romantic, less dance-centric release. She said: "It's a love song and it's different from Roar — it's not eighth-notey."
She’s reported with then saying: "And I think it's a universal love song that everyone's going to be able to relate to no matter the age, no matter male or female. It's my favorite song off the record."
The gossip website seems to think this means “Unconditionally,” a track Perry’s spoken about previously, might be the next single.
But while Perry had said it might be a while before an official single comes out, Perry had been putting out promotional tracks this month.
After a fan poll about which track she should release next, “Dark Horse,” a track featuring Three Six Mafia’s Juicy J, came out. Then, Perry updated fans that second track “Walking on Air” may come out by the end of September.
Until a second official single drops, here’s the “Roar” video to view for the time being:
