Katy Perry and Obama Team Up in Nevada
It’s almost election time and the stars continue to show their support for Barack Obama as he attempts to be re-elected for a second term as President of the United States. Katy Perry took the stage in Las Vegas last night to try to encourage her fans to vote for the democrat this November.
Wearing a dress that looked like a voting ballot, she sang “Let’s Stay Together,” “Part of Me,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework” and “Wide Awake.”
The singer already has her wardrobe all thought out for Election Day. You know I got my poll outfit sorted. Because when I go to the polls in California it's gonna be on point," she told the crowd. "It's gonna be red, white and blue. For you know who. So you better do it. If not, I'm gonna come and get you."
After her performances, the commander-in-chief himself took to the stage and expressed his gratitude for her support: "I am so grateful to Katy Perry for the unbelievable performance. I'm getting to know Katy, she's such a wonderful young lady. And I can tell that part of it is because of her outstanding Grandma Ann. A 50-year resident of Nevada, so give her a big round of applause."
The elections are less than two weeks away! In the meantime, check out these clips from Perry’s performance last night:
