Kat DeLuna's 'Dancing Tonight'

American R&B singer Kat Deluna has just premiered the music video 'Dancing Tonight', a track confirmed to be part of her forthcoming studio album "Inside Out". She has been working on the album since 2008, and has released several singles already. The first single 'Unstoppable' charted well in Canada, and the song was featured in the movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic" as well as in the movie soundtrack.

Other singles that have since been released, including the dance track 'Dance Bailalo' which has been a real performer in the music world becoming a major hit on the US Hot Dance Club Play Chart. But of more interest is the single 'Party O' Clock' for which she released the music video in December 2010. A few weeks later in February 2011, fellow R&B singer Jennifer Lopez released her up-tempo dance hit 'On the Floor', a song that has received positive critical reception from all sectors of the music industry. It is a song that is continuing to chart well.

Many of Kat DeLuna's fans and music critics agree on the view that the J Lo hit has plagiarised the single "Party O'Clock". The initial response by Kat has been one of feeling really pleased that Jennifer Lopez was inspired by her (Kat's) musical style. However, after the release of the impressive music video for "On the Floor", DeLuna has since changed her opinion. Her fan base has been very supportive, and in an interview with the New York Daily News, Kat said, "Luckily, my loyal fans and the power of the Internet have let the 'Kat' out of the bag."

The spokespeople for J Lo are claiming no such copying has occurred.
